Even though in my game it's 1971, I am thinking about the long term success of my airline, and one of the most important planes will be (and starts to be) the 727-200, but the problem is that by the 1980s it starts to lack satisfaction but there's no propper replacement until the A320 comes in 1988. What replacement do you reccommend me for the 727-200 until the A320 comes?

What is the most underrated plane in your opinion (a good plane that is rarely used). For me it is the L1011, as it can server a lot of routes (even long haul routes from a big city with ~300 ratings to even a small to medium city with ratings as low as 160!). In the future the L1011 should be replaced by 767s, as demand will be higher in the future.
Let me know about a plane that you think is underrated.
Even though the L1011's capacity is MUCH lower in game than in real life, I actually like that, since we get a medium sized (think 757) plane that can do long range. It can be used for long haul routes from big cities to medium (and even some small) cities. I will use this strategy and tell you how good it is. Basically an ultra long range 757-200, but less fuel efficient (like all planes during that time).
I have 250 planes, but my profit never exceeded 250,000k when I had less than 100 planes. Now when there is 150,000k it is very good.
My fleet contains various planes ranging from the 747-400 to the CRJ100, I also have some cargo planes.
All of my planes have fuel efficiency above 6.0
My employees are satisfied with their salaries
I was investing in the service level (now I am in an economic crisis and I can't afford a high one)
I have a hub in London (starting hub), Beijing (owning an airport), and Mexico (owning an airport)
I am adjusting the ticket prices almost every month (by "manage all route)
I invest in advertising in the cities where I have hubs (more or equal to 4 columns)
What am I doing wrong?
