The Airbus A320 family are a series of European-made twin-engined narrow-bodied jet airliners intended for short- to medium- haul flights. The direct competitors of the A320 series are the Boeing 737, Boeing 757, and the MD-80 series. The first member of the family, the A320, was introduced in 1988. The four current members of the family are as follows: A318-100, A319-100, A320-200, and A321-200. Also Included is the A320neo, the next generation of the family that is meant to compete with the 737 MAX.
