Qingdao is a city located in China. It has lukewarm stats that usually range from 150-250. The tourism ratings are often somewhat higher than the business ratings.

Airport[]

The default airport in Qingdao is Qingdao Liuting International Airport.

Strategy[]

Due to Qingdao's lukewarm ratings, Qingdao has almost no competition, which makes Qingdao a great hub for beginners wanting to start a passenger airline. However, Qingdao is located in a somewhat isolated location, meaning that when all potential connections are used up, airlines should open a new hub somewhere else. Although there are plenty of connections to make to the west (Shanghai, Beijing) and the south (Singapore, Bangkok) there aren't a lot of connections to be made to the east and the north of this city. Due to Qingdao's ratings, it is best used when connecting to big cities. Medium sized planes are best when flying to large cities, and small planes should be used when making regional flights. Long range flights to Europe, North America and Oceania/Australia are not recommended, but can still make enough profit when using the right sized planes. Cargo airlines can still make decent profits from Qingdao, but it is strongly discouraged due to Qingdao's low business ratings.

Qingdao Liuting International Airport usually will not get upgraded beyond level 3-4, so any airline which values credits and cash should never buy this airport. Additional airports are a waste of money and credits, so airlines should never build new airports.
